Dead in the Midst of the Living [Musei and Kuro]

Post by Musei on Mon Nov 14, 2016 4:53 pm

The citizens of this large city were just as strange to Musei as he was to them.

It was weird enough for Musei to even get in a bus. His head hit the roof whenever they hit a speedbump. It took a while to regain his footing. He was quite sure an ankle was painfully sprained, but nobody could tell the dark creature was in pain. The manifestation of a man could only rub his foot as he was standing, holding onto one of those handles, in hopes his ankle would feel better. It was nothing serious.

Hey, why was Musei going to Xar-however you say it anyway?

Musei himself hadn't noticed he was going there until he hopped on the bus, and even then he didn't know why. His hands suddenly itched, as if they were yearning to flip the pages of a book that was rich with knowledge, or to glide across an elegant piano. Library. That was the creature's thought, until clouds of thick fog seemed to shroud his conscience. Musei forgot what he wanted to do.

"Thank you for riding!" the bus driver said cheerfully as she let Musei (along with others) off the bus. Musei waved at her before stepping off. He didn't run off right away. He didn't know what he came here for. Whatever he thought of earlier that he had forgotten, he really wanted to go there. He just felt a tug, urging him to the place. Musei shrugged off the feeling. Maybe it'd come back later. At least he felt kind of... Safe here. There were lots of creatures in The Beyond. Some were even stranger than Musei, and it wasn't really odd to spot a butterfly lady with a mouse tail and hyena ears walking down the street, carrying groceries.

Sit. The thought Musei had was simple. He didn't forget it this time. Want to sit.

The creature walked over to a bench and took a seat. He looked around at his surroundings, wondering what he should do. He didn't want to ride the bus here just for nothing.

    ((Sorry for crap post lel)

Kuro brushed a hand through his hair in an effort to smooth his wild bed-hair down, but no such luck. Aghh, this stupid hair. It wasn't like it bothered him, no. Kuro didn't really care, but still. Sometimes, it didn't really make the best impression, but at least it gave him the sexy bed-eyes look, not that that was actually a good thing at times... It made for teasing people pretty easily though, which was nice. The floating hot dog trick would always be a classic, however.

A pair of half-lidded dark red eyes stared out towards the city in front of him, a shit-eating grin resting on his face like always. Kuro was currently in his most common human form, a tall and lithe muscular male. He smoothed down the shirt he was wearing, walking down the sidewalk of Xastristan's busy streets. He raised an eyebrow as a tall and skinny pitch black stick creature thing stepped out of a bus, taking a seat on a nearby bench.

Now, Kuro couldn't exactly read faceless creatures' expressions, because obviously, they had no face. But he could at least tell from the creature's body that it seemed a bit lost, and if Kuro wasn't always kind, he didn't know what he was. Ok, that was a lie. But still!

With a shit-eating grin, Kuro slid over to sit next to the creature. "Hey," he greeted. "You need help?"

Everything looked tempting to a degree. Museums. Movie stores. Bookshops. There was even an instrument store which Musei regarded with interest, but decided not to go there. He needed something new and interesting. He was getting pretty bored of doing the same thing everyday.

Musei would've blinked in surprise if he could when a tanned-skinned guy with messy black hair slid next to him. Instead, his white eyes shifted over his head to look at the newcomer. His mischievous grin was the first thing he noticed. Musei took a mental note to be careful; smug grins are usually on the faces of troublemakers. But who knows? He may be wrong.

Musei shrugged in reply. His eyes moved to the top of his sphere-shaped, head, then to the other side. Finally he looked back in the new guy's direction and nodded, admitting he was lost. . . Kind of. Interesting things, Musei thought. I want.

Kuro took note of the blank white eyes that seemed to hold no emotion at all. Wow, this creature sure was interesting. In all of Kuro's years of existing, he had definitely come across some many interesting and exotic creatures, but never one like this. It was a fellow spirit; Kuro could tell just from looking into its, well. Spirit soul.

Apparently, to make up for its lack of pupils, the eyes themselves moved all across his face. Kuro held in a snort at the image that had suddenly popped into his mind, of those eyes zigzagging throughout the whole face. Plus the fact that the creature didn't say a word. Maybe because it didn't have a mouth, it couldn't speak? No vocal chords or something?

"I'm guessing you can't talk?" That would be pretty awkward if he just assumed this and it turned out to be completely false, but Kuro was just throwing his best judgement out there.

    "Can you write?"
